Since achieving peace in 2002, the Angolan government has launched several programmes aimed at providing basic services and infrastructure to the population. This includes the rehabilitation of the road network and the improvement of water, sanitation and power networks.

Aurecon’s Angolan office has played, and will continue to play, an important role in the reconstruction of Angola. Active in the country since 1993, we have been involved in the construction of residential units, new roads and bridges, rehabilitation of existing roads, the construction of clinics, police stations, recreational centres, educational facilities and sport fields, shops and hotels, mining facilities, communication infrastructure, and water and drainage systems.

Our Angolan office supports the transfer of knowledge and skills, creating local jobs to empower local individuals and communities to take ownership of their development.

Angola is a growing office and Aurecon’s team is equipped to take on engineering challenges and make a real contribution to the growth of the country with a goal of securing a more vibrant future for its 16 million citizens.

Our projects include the Nova Vida township design, construction and project management, and the Sonangol Headquarters Building for which Aurecon provided structural engineering, quantity surveying and contract supervision. In addition, Aurecon has also been involved in a number of transportation projects in Angola, including design and supervision of the rehabilitation of the road between Namibe and Lubango.
